Sharyn supported a variety of causes but those closest to her heart included the protection of natural resources, e.g., the Georges River, Oatley Park and Myles Dunphy Reserve, the koala colonies in south-west Sydney and the gazettal of Dharawal National Park. This walk was to honour her legacy.
24 OFF members and friends went to O’Hares Lookout and listened to heartfelt speeches while taking in spectacular views, followed by a picnic lunch at Minerva Pools near a fast flowing waterfall and creek.
Sharyn’s amazing work will be continued into the future, by individuals and organisations which campaign on issues close to her heart, such as opposing land clearing, stopping the expansion of coal and gas mines, protecting the Georges River, and saving the koala and other endangered wildlife.
