OFF members and friends visited Kamay NP (Kurnell), where Banks and Sollander collected plants in 1770, many still visible today. They were then fortunate to see many migrating whales.
Joey Clarke, an ecologist with Australian Wildlife Conservancy (AWC). discussed the work that he does with AWC. Joey has worked with AWC for over a decade across their network of sancuaries.
OFF members enjoyed a beautiful Autumn day in the Royal National Park meandering down to Kangaroo Creek.
Dr Swapan Paul, Manager Wetlands at Sydney Olympic Park discussed the importance of mangroves, the threats to them and successful examples of mangrove rehabilitation in Sydney Olympic Park.
Eleanor Lang from ANU discussed working with land managers to enhance their farms for biodiversity and productivity.
